I just wanted to write and share 'my fist night' with my Moonfish 2" Ultrawide 30mm eyepiece that I received back in July - a long engagement but very inclement skies in UK!
In a word fabulous - my only regret that I had not had time to use it before a wonderful night this week under Scottish dark skies!
I now understand what people mean by the 'space walk effect' - it was hard going back to my 'ordinary' eyepieces!
The Ultrawide was just that in my 3" Apo refractor and 8" SCT, with the Andromeda Galaxy and neighbouring M32 and M110 all within a single field of view. Clarity excellent across the field; a hint of minor distortion of star images at the very edge requiring a little refocusing, but not detracting from the image at all - more than enough in the central 79 degrees to keep one busy for hours ;-)
All in all a wonderful eyepiece, thanks so much for making it available at such a good price. I am more than happy for you to put this on your website, by way of review, if it helps to persuade others of the eminent sense in investing in this fabulous eyepiece - they won't regret it.
